Gestern fand in Bremen der zweite von insgesamt vier Arena Cups statt, die über die gesamte Saison verteilt in Deutschland und Österreich geplant sind. Das Besondere an dieser Turnierserie ist das Expanded-Format, welches hierzulande nur bei den Arena Cups gespielt wird. Nach dem Auftakt in Berlin ging es nun also nach Bremen, wo insgesamt ca. 80 TCG-Spieler und nochmal so viele VGC-Spieler um Preise, Punkte und Pokale kämpften.

Nach sechs Vorrunden und anschließenden Top 8 stand Mees B aus den Niederlanden mit Donphan / Accelgor als Sieger des Turniers fest. Er besiegte im Finale den früheren Deutschen Meister Steven M (Landorus-EX / M Manectric-EX).

Die Card Leaders waren mit Karl (Donphan) und Dennis (Plasma-Kyurem) vorne dabei. Karl verlor in den Top 8 gegen das Empoleon-Deck von Bert W und Dennis scheiterte knapp gegen den späteren Sieger Mees.

Der nächste Arena Cup wird am 28. Februar 2015 in Salzburg stattfinden. So waren wir bisher einmal in Berlin im Osten Deutschlands, jetzt im Norden und bald in Österreich südlich von Deutschland. Der vierte und letzte Arena Cup wird dementsprechend wahrscheinlich im Westen ausgetragen werden.
